Misc. Bungalow pics (d)

No, this isn't the bungalow. I'm not sure why my Dad snapped this pic. A house out in the country that somehow caught his eye? Maybe. But why this particular one? Maybe someone he knew lived here.

Just a guess - the Williams house that sat on the cliff overlooking the Ontelaunee. But I really haven't a clue.

Who are the Willams'? I like the theory cuz this just doesn't have a "Hamburg feel" to it.

The Williams family was from Shoemakersville, and had money. They built in this glorious, exclusive location, which I always envied. All alone up there on a cliff, with formal and informal gardens, a gazebo hanging on the edge of the property, and an IN-GROUND swimming pool, can you believe it, back in the Depression! This might not be their place, but it reminds me of that high location. One of the Williams people (a son I think) got killed in the crash of a small airplane back in the 1940s. Your mom would remember that, more details, etc.
