Tom, Nancy, and Smokey

At least I presume this is Smokey. He was before my time. I'm not sure of the location in this pic - it looks like the front porches on Washington Street.

A note about 50+ images

Just a quick tip regarding this site. I've formatted it to show only the 50 most-recent postings. This makes the page open more quickly. So now some of the earliest photos don't show up.

You can still see those early pics by clicking on the appropriate month in the "Archives" section (in the left column).

And, as always, left-clicking on any image will get you a bigger version of it. Screen size. Then, if you want to see an even bigger version, wait for the four-arrowed thingy to appear in the lower right corner, and left-click on it.

Aunt Sally

Okay, this is Aunt Sally. So far, its the only pic I've found of her, but there are a lot more photos & slides to go thru. The next four pics (below) are people I'm guessing are associated with Aunt Sally, but I don't recognize any of them. Help, s'il vous plait.

Unknown (1)

The only person I associate with Aunt Sally is "Mots". But I don't think this is her.

Unknown (2)

I'm guessing these folks are also part of the "Aunt Sally" crowd. But maybe not.

Unknown (3)

And this is? BTW, it halfway looks like a crossword puzzle on the back of whatever he's reading. IIRC, Dad used to cross off the clues as he filled them in. But I don't see the grid anywhere.

Unknown (4)

I'm totally clueless on this man. Ditto for where it was taken. Is this Pennsylvania? California? Wyoming?

Grammy Ludwig smoked??

Is this a spoof picture or for real? I don't ever recall seeing Grammy L. smoking. I don't know who's lighting her cigarette.

Grammy Ludwig - 1

One of my dad's favorite pictures of his Mom. He enlarged this one and hung it on the wall in Wyoming.

Grammy Ludwig (2)

This was a 'reclaim' project. The photo above this one was pasted onto this one. Its been cropped to remove the glue stains.

Sept. 29, 1971

On the occasion of Grammy Ludwig's funeral. L-to-R, John, Hazel, Bob, and Charles.

Post-Christmas Relaxing

I've forgotten most or all of the furniture in these pics. I also can't vouch for whether I have any or all of these pics mirror-reversed. I think this one's correct. The fireplace would be to the right, and the front door (going out onto Stoudt's Ferry Bridge Road) would be to the left. We moved to this house in '60 or '61 cuz I was in 5th grade.

Dad & Fireplace

I had completely forgotten that wall clock.

Xmas at 3600 (maybe)

Mom has changed her clothes from the napping pic above. This one's actually probably from earlier in the day than that one. I don't know who took this pic. The tapestry comes from Morocco, which helps to date this pic. So does the camel & rider figurine on the table. BTW, I think the latter eventually fell victim to one of Mo's chewing fits.

Xmas at 3600

I'm guessing this is from the early 60's. I think everyone is in dress-up mode because its Christmas. Maybe. Interesting to see the furniture again.

The reason we moved to Arizona

They don't make snowstorms like this anymore. I have no clue as to the year of this photo.

Sheri's Confirmation

At Rosedale UCC. Reverend Goff (sp?) is the pastor, I think. Okay, Sheri, how many others can you name?

1942-43 (04a)

the inside of a house somwhere. Probably in the spring of 1942. Does that eliminate Lenhartsville? Photo was in poor condition; i enhanced as best I could. I'm guessing that's Smokey to the left, hearing something on the other side of the door.

1942-43 (04d)

Presumably taken in the spring of '42 also. So Tom is not one of the boys here. Anyone have any idea who these kids are?

1942-43 (05e)

Another picture of whatever house dad was fixing up in 1942. The pic was in poor condition, and most of these pics are 1" by 1.5". So enlarging them makes them grainy and ragged too. Again, any idea about this house?

1942-43 (11a)

Bath time!

1942-43 (11c)

A nice pic of Mom and Tom.

1942-43 (13b)

There are several photos of "Susan and Sandra" in this album. They appear to be slightly older than Tom. Any idea of who they are?

1942-43 (14a)

Happy Birthday, Tom!! Presumably, this is late January 1943. The scratches can be eliminated, but it would be time-consuming.

1942-43 (15a)

Another great pic of Mom and Tom.

1942-43 (17d)

Tom and ?? Maybe Nancy, but I really doubt it.

1942-43 (18b)

Same question - this is Mom, Tom, Grammy L. and ??

1942-43 (20b)

Cowboy Tom. An awesome pic.

1942-43 (21b)

Tom and ??

1942-43 (22a)

Tom, Ellen, and Janet, maybe? Help, please. This is before my time.

1942-43 (23a)

What a great picture, even if it was a 1" x 1".

1942-43 (23b)

Hmmm. Tom and Mom on the outside, I think. Maybe the other woman is Aunt Grace. And if so, is that her son John?

1942-43 (23c)

Great pic of Grammy & Grandpa Ludwig. In the backyard at 234 State Street (right street name?). I'm guessing these are all their grandchildren as of sometime in 1943. Anyone able to ID all the kids?

1942-43 (23e)

Lollipops for the kids! I'm assuming this was at the bungalow. Still not 100% sure of about half of the people pictured.

1942-43 (24c)

Last one from this set of pics. I'm a little over halfway thru the old, green photo album. I'm not posting every pic - mostly just the ones I need help on. When I'm done with the album, I'll burn all pics to CD and maybe DVD. Anyone wanting a copy of these, let me know.
