100. Bob

And an awesome pic of Uncle Bob from the summer of 1914 as well. I'm guessing we're looking down the side yard of 234, towards the front.

Funny, I remember the next-door house (236 Washington?) as being a long, high brick house painted a deep red. I thought that house ran as far back as 234, but it's been a long time since I've stood in that side area Grammy's house.

I've figured out that this is, again, the house across the street from Gerbers. The evidence is the house in the background can be compared to the street view in April 07 King Frost e and it is clearly the duplex (now gone and replaced by a different one) that was next to Gerbers. It would appear that either the Ludwigs spent alot of time there or lived there at some point. mick.....

You're right! I did a lot of switching back and forth between these two photos, and that is indeed the end duplex from the King Frost pic.

Now I have to wonder - did Grammy and Grandpa live at two different houses on Washington Street at two different times? It certainly seems that way.

Maybe they lived in this house until Grammy's parents moved out of 234 (or passed on). This certainly solves a lot of problems I had with the backyard and sideyard layouts in a bunch of those earlier "Washington Street" pics.

Maybe that's how it was, Terry. Grammy never mentioned living in that house, but that would certainly explain all the photos there. This boy (Bob) certainly looks like he's at home.
