Another definitive photo of Grammy Ludwig. C'mon Grammy, crack a smile! I presume the child is Bob.Both this and the previous pic are labeled as being "South Fourth Street", but the walls are quite different. Brick in the former; siding in this one. Maybe this is the back porch. Oh, and I wonder what that handle is to, hanging down next to the door.

Hazel was born in March 1909. This is her. Possibilities for that handle - night stick; butterfly net; shoe brush. I am kidding, really - I can't figure what it could be. I guess this house had a brick front and frame side and rear - common practice then.
