L-R Tim, Joe, Mick. Yes, 1959 sounds about right. Taken in the fall, Tim would be almost 3, Joe almost 6, and Mick 4 1/2. We lived at 232 Washington St.

I think I remember that china hutch in the background. IIRC, it sat just inside the 'middle room' on the ifrst floor, and against the common wall with 234 Washington. How good/bad is my memory on that?
Your memory is terrific. It was along that wall toward 234, but there were the 2 staircases in between. You could certainly hear people go up and down stairs in those houses - THEY were on the common wall. The first time I heard and felt an earthquake (very small one) in Calif., I unconsciously put it down to hearing people next door on the stairs - except it was a single house, and no stairs.

i remember that china hutch because i *think* that when us boys were playing inside at 232, it was usually right in front of this hutch. i think.
