Misc. 1930's (a)

A hodge-podge of 1930's pics. This is my Dad, but I don't know the dog. I'm also not sure of the location. Maybe 234 Washington, but I don't recognize the building in the background.

I think this is backyard at 234, and before the factory expanded into that space, I think there was a barn that belonged to a house on Pine St. The dog is probably "Teddy" 1 or 2. The first Teddy got hit by a car and died, and then someone gave Grandpa a new collie pup, named Teddy also. Within a year or so, that one also got hit. Very sad. I know all this from my mother having kept a diary in 1931-33. Janet

I think you're right. THe backyard seat looks the same as in the graduation picture (posted a few months ago). My only visual of "across the backyard crick" was that factory with its red brick walls.

And the dogs are before my time, although they keep showing up in these 1930's pics. Its nice that someone remembers them, even after all these years.
