I'll let Janet and other Hamburgians give more details about the pic, the class, and the High School library in the background of this pic.I will give one tidbit (courtesy of Janet) : Hazel was valedictorian of her class! That beats my mediocre 52-out-of-251 high school standing. ;-)

The library in the background is the Public Library; one of many financed by Andrew Carnegie. The front room to the right was used as a kindergarten classroom for a few years (that's where I attended kindergarten taught by Ethel Wolfinger). The library still stands with a few modifications (new cupola and a room converted to a computer room). mick.......
i was impressed that Hazel was valedictorian. it would be interesting to see where all of us graduated in our High School classes. i have a feeling that my 52/251 may be as low as anyone finished. we seem to be a brainy bunch.
