314. Janet & Lady

I'm going to guess that the lady on the left is Grandma Brownmiller. I don't recall ever meeting her, so I'm not sure how she was called. The place should be easy to identify, since "511" is on the wall.

I'm not sure what is hanging on the inside of the door. A symbol of the Order of The Easten Star. maybe? I so like this photo - a happy little girl and a grandmom who loves her.

Yes, that's me and Grammy Brownmiller. Probably 1941. The Eastern Star emblem has 5 points, this has 6. I don't know what it is for. The war hasn't started yet (unless it is 1942) and we didn't have anyone in the service, so it's not an emblem for that. (There were window emblems to denote how many from a household were away at war.) This is our house at 511, and Grammy lived next door when we moved there, but then they built a house a few doors away. So they always lived close by, which was very very nice.
