Ah, I see the collie has someone else trained as well. I'm not sure if this is taken at the same spot as photo 311, nor what the collie is sitting on. I think this is John. The treat is "Quick Mother Oats", which are before my time.

That is Bob, with "Jerry," who was a very beautiful dog. I'll bet they kept dog treats in the oatmeal box after it was emptied. The house is just up Spruce St. from me, I can see it from my front door. They had it built before the war, and sold it around 1947 or so. Jerry roamed the area, and one day someone shot him. A hunter or a farmer, no one ever knew. He was nice.
