This is taken more-or-less from the same spot as the picture below. More towels hanging out to dry at 234. I do remember those cellar doors. I don't remember that wagon or the sandbox. Nor do I recall that "roof-extension" extending over to 232. Did both houses have grapevines?

Mick and the sandbox are in the 232 backyard, and Tim and Joe are in Grammy's yard. The grape arbor was quite large at 234, and got good blue grapes. Over at 232, it was at the side of the house, outside the kitchen door. Same kind of grapes. Note those little shelves at upper left. They were outside of a small window besides the sink (both houses) and used to keep things cold in cold months, when the refrigerators were too full (such as after Thanksgiving dinner). Very handy. Grandpa's idea. In fact, at one time the one at Grammy's had a metal box on the shelf, to further keep things safe and out of the sun. Janet
