Jersey Beach (01)

A couple pics from a weekend on the Jersey beach. Probably from the early-to-mid 60's. L-to-R, this is Sheri, Nancy ( I think) and Dad. Collecting shells. Sheri's got one of our old family cameras.

From Sheri: I think that this was a vacation to the Jersey shore that we took in the mid 60s. I'm on the left. The gal in the middle is Sandy ______, who worked with Mom at Wyomissing Paper. Her boyfriend Bob is the unknown male in the picture below.

IIRC, we took 2 vacations to the Jersey shore -- Stone Harbor -- after the boy scout trips. The first may have been just a long weekend. The 2nd was a week, for which we rented the house a few pix down from this. I can't remember which of those trips it was, but for one of them, Sandy and Bob joined us. The 2nd trip was the year the Mom changed jobs from Wyomissing Paper to Glidden Paints -- she lost her vacation time and could only join us for the final weekend of the week-long vacation.

that's why it didn't seem like Nancy to me. that would also explain how Bob got to come along. your memory is a lot better on this stuff than mine.

oh, and thanks for remembering Stone Harbor also. i was trying to recall that name when scanning these slides. i knew that it was just to the north of Cape May, but not the town's name.
