From the old green photo album. Is this Smokey? Pic was probably taken in 1942, but I;m not sure of the location, nor of who is in the background. This was a 1"x1.5" pic.

That would be my guess too. I don't ever recall a brick sidewalk up at 234's yard. I remember Smokey. What a neat dog. And as I recall, he was a stray, and found himself a real good home, and was forever grateful.
